Water Treatment Plant Facility Layout and Building Renderings

The proposed WTP facility size will be similar to a newly constructed Tahoe home.  Preliminary design estimates call for a structure approximately 3,500 square feet.  The images below illustrate the floor plan and cross-section of the proposed facility. (images can be opened to a full screen image by clicking them)

The TCPUD is mindful of the fact that the aesthetics of any building will play an important role in the success and acceptance of the project.  Although the costs will be higher than building a more basic “industrial” type facility, the TCPUD feels strongly that it is important to design and build a facility that fits well with the environment and blends with the location and/or neighborhood in which it is located.  Below are four potential building renderings showing two possible building forms (gable and shed) in both a “standard” and an “enhanced” design.  The final building form, enhancements, color and materials will be selected based on public input and to best blend in to the surrounding environment.
